About Stone Table Church

Stone Table Church is a new church plant launching in Kenton, Ohio, meeting weekly in a shared facility. Stone Table Church exists to be a Christ-centered, Gospel-proclaiming community deeply rooted in prayer, hospitality, and mission.

As a church plant, Stone Table Church places a strong emphasis on evangelism, discipleship, and meaningful community presence, with particular attention to reaching young people and families in the Kenton area.

Stone Table Church also values authentic, Spirit-led worship and is committed to using the freshest and most vibrant worship music as a means of helping people genuinely connect with God. Worship gatherings are designed to be engaging, accessible, and theologically grounded.

Position Overview

Stone Table Church is seeking a full-time Lead Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, preach and teach the Word of God, and lead the church in evangelism and growth. The Lead Pastor will play a central role in shaping the culture, vision, and ministry of a young and growing congregation, while working collaboratively with a small ministry team and the Great Lakes Conference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preach and teach the Gospel faithfully and accessibly (40x per year)
    • Lead weekly worship services in partnership with worship leaders.
    • Cultivate a culture of evangelism and community engagement.
    • Build relationships throughout the Kenton community.
    • Recruit, train, and coordinate ministry volunteers and leaders.
    • Provide pastoral care and oversee discipleship pathways.
    • Lead the church through early stages of growth and sustainability.
    • Work respectfully within a shared-facility environment.
    • Partner with the Great Lakes Conference for accountability and support.

Beliefs & Theological Alignment

Stone Table Church is affiliated with the Churches of God, General Conference (Winebrenner) and aligns with the denomination’s beliefs as outlined at cggc.org/about-us/who-we-are, including faith in one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the authority of Scripture; salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; and the calling of the Church to worship, discipleship, and mission.

Qualifications

Required:
• A clear calling to pastoral ministry and church planting
• Strong evangelistic and relational skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate ministry teams
• Effective communication and preaching ability
• Alignment with the beliefs and mission of the Churches of God, General Conference
• Willingness to minister in a shared-facility environment
• Availability for full-time ministry
• Willingness to work toward a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree if not already completed (scholarships available)

Preferred:
• Experience in church planting, revitalization, or evangelistic ministry
• Formal theological education or ministry training
• Experience working with youth or young adults
• Familiarity with small-town ministry contexts

Compensation

This is a full-time salaried position. Compensation and benefits are commensurate with experience and provided in coordination with the Great Lakes Conference.
